SunRoot SOLID Serum is a sumptuous, bouncy & nutritive balm companion to our beloved SunRoot Solar Serum. This jammy face balm stars nourishing northwest maple-blossom honey & a tiny touch of locally crafted beeswax. Our Serum base is boosted by a 5 week, solar infusion of organic artichoke leaf from our family garden and includes warming infusions of Turmeric root and juicy fruit oils of Rose hip, Raspberry Seed, and Sea Buckthorn. Our Balm iteration carries the same prime functions as our Serum such as repair from sun damage and hyperpigmentation, support for mature skin, acne or breakouts, alongside increased cell renewal and collagen production. It’s truly love at first sniff with results like pure, sparkling magic.
Energetic and Aromatic Profile -
Essential Oil Free. Formulated to center and ground. Aroma is evocative of earthy amaranth, spicy turmeric root and warm undertones or rose petals & rose hips.

Highlights
Organic Artichoke Leaf - A truly powerful plant- beyond its mighty stature. Artichoke Leaf is high in a phytochemical called cynaropicrin, which has been shown to be anti-photoaging (reducing sun damage and pigmentation), making perfect sense as these massive leaves are resilient, staying protected in the sun without being scorched. This powerful component is also known to stimulate the regeneration of cells and inhibit UV irradiation (damage from excess sun exposure) in addition to rapidly building collagen, strengthening areas that have lost elasticity and restoring moisture in areas of imbalance and inflammation. We infuse the leaf into Organic Jojoba Oil that we source directly from one of the few remaining Organic Jojoba farmer’s in the US - all cold-pressed by hand. The difference in quality, color, scent and efficacy we have from purchasing straight from the farmer is supreme. Ideal for mature skin.
Northwest Local Maple-blossom Honey - Our local honey is sourced from our exciting visit this year to the Oregon Maple Festival (Thanks to Oregon Maple Project for pointing us that direction!). Raw honey brings in sublime gel-like texture & is rich with antioxidants and enzymes that assist the skin in plumping and moisturizing. It’s also our top choice for balancing the skin’s microbiome. Skin is more inclined to stay clear & protected when honey is present as it’s reparative, keeps skin clean and soothes skin that leans on either side of the spectrum, whether you experience one week of acne or the next week of dehydration.To me, this makes honey feel like natures great adaptogen. This balm is not for a specific 'skin type'— it is a product for ALL skin.
Organic Amaranth Seed - Remarkably helpful in supporting those with maturing and/or imbalanced skin. High in Linoleic Acid, meaning it is part of the Omega family that aids in wound healing, cell regeneration, and is highly repairative. It is also a great choice for maintaining elasticity & smoothing deep scars or wrinkles.
Directions -
Warm a pea-sized scoop onto clean fingertips and gently massage into clean, damp skin that has been generously misted by your Hydrosol of choice. Finish by misting your hydrosol once more to lock in moisture, further creating a protective shield for your skin. Smile.
SunRoot + Hydrosol -
Facial oils and balms have been used for centuries to hydrate and bring vitality to the skin. Because the skin is made up of water in the form of sweat and oil aka sebum, utilizing a hydrosol and a facial oil or balm together aids in establishing the skin’s inherent rhythm. Essentially, you’re creating your own fresh moisturizer without the fillers and preservatives of a common face cream. When layered in your ritual, the Hydrosol carries in the moisture from your oil, while SunRoot helps to hold the hydrosol waters close to the skin. This means that those pH balancing plant acids, healing nutrients and potent antioxidants found in both are able to penetrate more efficiently leading to dewy, healthy skin that is properly hydrated and moisturized.
