We are very happy to now offer the extra distillate from our custom Hydrosol orders. We receive a vast array of wonderful custom distillation orders from estheticians, families, naturopaths, hair stylists, and beyond. Sometimes they will order 1 gallon, sometimes 6+! Any extra from their custom distillation, we will offer here for you to explore, enjoy and get inspired by….perhaps even dream up a custom distillation of your own one day. Hydrosol variations will be listed in the drop down menu, which will state all plants distilled with our PNW hand-collected spring water. Labels will be minimal, printed with the hand-written Hydrosol title only.

Current Offerings-

• Cherry Bark : Trial Hydrosol from the bark of our organic Cherry tree (Prunus avium 'Rainier). Scent is medicinal- slightly bitter, with a hint of sweet cherry. Explorations have showed wonderful results leaning towards a more astringent mist, that’s been especially helpful for breakouts & excess oil production.
  
  

• Sandalwood (sustainable source / Santalum album), Orange Peel (Citrus x sinensis) & Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides): Formulated for a client to soothe all skin expressions, is helpful for congested skin & to balance oil production. Scent is more sandalwood-leaning, grounding, calming & well-balanced.
  
  

• Horsetail & Rosemary : Formulated for a client specifically for scalp/haircare. Scent is similar to our Rosemary & Bay Laurel Hydrosol, but slightly more subtle & verdant. Silica still remains after the distilling process making this Hydrosol a wonderful choice for fortifying the hair and scalp with minerals, encourages growth and soothes a dry scalp. Horsetail was harvested fresh near a free-flowing river. Rosemary is fresh from our family garden. Mist scalp as often as desired.

• Rose Hip : Juicy fruit, rich Hydrosol formulated for use in our Whole Body Rose Hydrosol. We don’t want to let any extra go to waste because this Hydrosol is like gold (they all are really..)! Plump rose hips form after the summer roses wilt, leaving a nutritive fruit with the story of rose intertwined in it. Superb for all skin expressions. 

Best Use: Mist your Hydrosol onto clean face or hands until saturated, and pat for ample hydration. For added moisture morning and night, follow by gently massaging a nourishing facial oil into the skin, and finish with another mist of your Hydrosol to lock in moisture. Your daily use restores the skin’s natural PH balance.

WHAT IS A HYDROSOL?

Hydrosols, also known as Distillates, are the subtle, and often aromatic waters resulting from slowly distilled plant material, and are some of nature's best antioxidants for the skin. Lovingly made using hand collected local spring water, combined with ethically wildcrafted and organically grown plant material, they are distilled in a traditional copper alembic still.

Alchemists from all over the world have performed transformational distillations in these traditional stills for over 3,000 years, and this artisan process still remains the same! The actual method of performing our distillations has a 5-7 hour duration, a much slower process compared to more commercialized modes of skin care production. What results, is a nutrient-rich, energetic, and authentic Hydrosol, containing the plant's own suspended micro particles of essential oil, plant acids, even a plant's specific essence and memory imprint. Each offers its own unique botanical remedy dependent on the plant distilled, thus leading to the reference that a Hydrosol is a hologram of the plant itself!

Hydrosols are incredibly gentle and well-suited for beings of all ages and sensitivities (including babies and pets alike). Wildcare Hydrosols are recommended as a daily facial toner, and play an important role in protecting and nourishing the skin from everyday pollutants.
