The Lightwork

The Lightwork

At Winter Soltice exactly one year ago, I exclaimed to my dear ones, "this will be the year of the body!" I was ready to tune in, feel in, and heal in- And that's exactly what I received this year.

If vibrancy is a feeling of light & life-force, then I gather that feeling is where we have the most capacity to beam bright. We can play any chords that call to us at any time as long as we can remember what keeps us vibrant.

This is what being an artisan or craftsman feels like to me. In an almost dreamlike state, the body remembers, as the motions we've imprinted guide us on how we move next. Like ancient magic, the mind can dream of the notes as the body plays its chords. There's fluidity between hands and heart that freely shapes the next moment. It's as if our fingertips extend a voltage of our own expressions that ripple into all that is touched.

Then, this ripple of heart to hands threads self to society; A glowing symbiotic networking of resonance we feel from that one thing that felt good to hold in our hands. The year of the body has taught me this.

Beyond my own body/work I have learned this year, my body lives vibrantly in motion as a response to my own vibrant feelings.

It may not be light work, but the work creates the light.

Solstice is showing me this again today. Follow the spark and sound of what and who keeps you moving in joy, in laughter, in totally blissful love, even when it feels dark. If the people around you aren't lighting you up, become the spark, especially now. You have all you need; magic at your fingertips when you choose to feel it. Bless!
