THINGS features various tools made by contemporary artists, artisans, and designers that work synergistically with Wildcare products.

Artisan ceramicist Julia DeConcini has created a limited series of custom bowls in collaboration with Wildcare to be cherished as part of your weekly masking ritual. Modeled after ancient distillation vessels, each bowl is unique in its organic form. Using artisan-made goods allows for a heightened connection and experience of intimate care with your object. Each bowl is individually hand thrown in Tucson, AZ. Julia states, “I find the contrast of the natural red raw rough clay to the silky feel of the matte glaze interior draws some fitting parallels to rugged desert life and its scenery.”

Best Use
As a vessel to mix your Wildcare face mask.

About the Artist

“A life of mud. These will be my new nice pants, imagining the next event I’ll attend. One day later, now they are my nice new mud pants. Never been good at resisting the desire to get into something at the risk of getting dirty. As a kid I was helping my family make adobes in the Tucson sun, dipping new shoes in puddles because they were too shiny for my liking. these days aren’t too different, we travel dirt roads by bike, by truck, we are on our knees working with animals in corals, digging gardens, my hands fearlessly driven into earth, nails always rocking the reverse French manicure look. I lovingly call myself a dirtbag as I clap my clay caked hands on my clay caked pants and watch the dust clouds swirl around. Muddy handprints on the walls and refrigerator handle. I welcome the outside in and work with the doors and windows open. I find cactus snacks leftover from packrat neighbors, tiny lizard foot prints across my desk, and mesquite leaves in everything.” - Julia DeConcini
